Here, the AC mains voltage is transformed by a transformer to the appropriate rectifier input voltage, which is then filtered and smoothed by means of an electrolytic capacitor. Depending on the AC input voltage and DC load, the output voltage may vary slightly. The design of these 32V power supplies is robust and limited to the essentials. These 32V power supplies are sufficient for controlling valves, relays, contactors and magnetic switches and for most PLC controls.

The following 32VDC unregulated power supplies can be operated with 115VAC or 230VAC input voltage.
